Tip #14.

The golden rule with networking, is that we should not be selling to our fellow networkers. Rather, we empower them with knowledge about our business, in the same way they will empower us with knowledge about theirs.

It is through this understanding that when we hear of opportunities, we are able to connect each other to our respective networks.

The people within the network are not our target market – their contacts are! Ensure you arm each fellow networker with the right information to make it easy for them to connect you.

My top tip is to never sell, but empower with knowledge about your business to enable others to talk about it when you are not there!
Keep it simple.
