Whether you are a seasoned networker, or learning the ropes, here are some of my top tips to help you to get the most out of your networking events.
I’d like to highlight the importance of being more than just an attendee of a networking function. Use the meeting to aim for VISIBILITY as well as to build CREDIBILITY (you can refer to my previous tips on how to achieve both of these). It is these acts that lead you to PROFITABILITY….everyone’s ultimate goal.
Be seen often, by attending all the meetings, remembering to be memorable in word and deed.
Build your credibility by offering assistance to fellow networkers or possibly sharing valuable and/or useful information. Make sure the network can count on you.
When you are visible and credible, people remember you and are confident to refer business to you.
My top tip is to always be thinking VISIBILITY and CREDIBILITY.
